Fire Technician - Tester

The Role

• Inspect and report on Portable, Exit/Emergency Lights, Fire Door, wet fire systems & Fire Panels
• Carry out repairs to portable equipment
• Plan and schedule your own work load to meet clients expectations
• Communicate with Customers on defect findings

Main tasks of the role would include:

• Testing fire panels, pumps and emergency warning systems including emergency lighting and portable fire equipment
• Adhering to all WHS requirements for each client site
• Testing of EWIS and Building Occupant Warning Systems
• Completing all maintenance log documentation
• Raising defect reports
• Being an integral member of the “On-Call Team, handling Emergency out of hours call outs when required
• Supporting other teams and staff

Requirements:

• Electrical trade qualifications highly desirable but not essential
• Current manual NSW drivers licence
• Reliability and a commitment to high work standards
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work unsupervised, as well as being part of our team
