Due to a high volume of projects, they are seeking an experienced Fire Services Designer / Drafter to join their team in Brisbane.
The RoleAs a Fire Services Designer, you will be instrumental in designing and planning fire protection systems for a wide array of projects. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients, your role is to develop customized fire protection solutions that align with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to grasp client requirements and project specifications.
- Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems in CAD and REVIT.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather pertinent information for designing fire safety solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address concerns and provide technical expertise.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing fire protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects, ideally with a contractor.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and, particularly, Revit for design, and Hyena for hydraulic calculations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
